How economic theories are applied in the real world situation is observed and studied in this discipline. The aim of this area is to assist economic policy makers to evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies using a quantitative framework. The use of economics and econometrics models forms the core of the research methodology and the character of the research is both theoretical and empirical.
